Recycle your printer cartridges
Tuesday 28th June 2011
Find out how you can help Bury Society for Blind and Partially Sighted People save money, earn extra income and protect the environment
We would like to introduce you to Recycle It, the new printer cartridge recycling initiative from Cartridge World. It’s an easy, effortless way to help us raise much-needed extra funds and start growing environmental awareness in the next generation.
How does Recycle It work?
To help us make a significant dent in the 45.5 million cartridges that are sent to landfill in the UK every year,* we’d like you to recycle your printer cartridges with Cartridge World Bury on Silver Street.
Simply refill your empty printer cartridges with Recycle It at your local Cartridge World store and they’ll give Bury Society for Blind and Partially Sighted People £1 for each time you get your Recycle It card stamped. Just send the stamped card in to us when it’s full so we can redeem it. Alternatively, we’ll get 50p for each one you drop off in our special collections bins at the Bury Blind Society Resource Centre.
Extra income for us, savings for you
Just remember that if you take your cartridges to be refilled at Cartridge World Bury, not only will Bury Society for Blind and Partially Sighted People get more money, but you’ll also enjoy massive savings on printer cartridge costs compared to buying new. Independent tests show that Cartridge World delivers the same high quality as branded cartridges, so please give them a try. You won’t just be raising money for us; you’ll also be saving money at home.
I hope you’ll agree that Recycle It is a great way to teach our supporters about the importance of helping the environment, reducing waste and preserving the world’s resources.
Please get involved, join in and help Bury Society for Blind and Partially Sighted People and the environment.

Ink cartridges are composed of a heating resistor, which contributes to greenhouse gas emissions when simply thrown away. Thus, recycling these cartridges is a major step for the printing industry to participate in a greener environment. Cheers!

Recycling or refilling ink cartridges are pretty efficient and an eco-friendly way to strive for a greener environment. However, CIS has come to age; don’t you think that recycling could still fit in the market?
